COMMUNITY STORIES
Ugly Fruit.
Beautiful Impact.
How America's Grow-A-Row is turning
imperfect produce into healthier
communities—and a better tomorrow.
At Clario, we believe the strongest communities are built when people show up for one another.
It’s not a program or an initiative — it’s simply who we are. And it’s why we’re proud to highlight the
work of America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) — an organization turning something often overlooked into something
deeply meaningful.

Finding Value in What Others Overlook
Every day, fresh fruits and vegetables are left behind — not because they aren’t healthy, but because they don’t look “perfect.”

Too small. Too misshapen. Too different.
At the same time, families across our communities are working hard to put nutritious food on the table.

AGAR bridges that gap. Through their farms and partnerships, they grow food, rescue what would otherwise go to waste, and deliver it directly to people who need it most.
In 2024 alone, AGAR helped provide over 14 million servings of fresh produce — more than 3.5 million pounds — reaching over 145,000 people.

Rooted in Community
What makes AGAR special isn’t just the food,
it’s the people.
Each year, nearly 12,000 volunteers come together in the fields to plant, pick, and pack produce for their neighbors.
Families receive fresh, healthy food with dignity.
Volunteers leave with a deeper connection to their community. And something simple becomes something powerful.

Impact You Can Feel
Every harvest represents more than food — it represents care.
Every volunteer hour represents time given to someone else.
Every delivery represents a family supported.

Since its founding, AGAR has helped provide tens of millions
of servings of fresh produce, strengthening communities one harvest at a time.

Why It Matters
Food Waste Is a Big Problem
Millions of pounds of nutritious produce go to waste every year—while too many families struggle to put food on the table.
Good Food
Changes Lives
Access to fresh produce improves health, supports learning, and strengthens communities.
Stronger
Together
When we all do a little, it adds up to something big—a more just, sustainable future for everyone.
